LG Freeze has hosted a pre-event at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, with pro-snowboarder Ben Kilner to build anticipation for the LG London Freeze 2010 and promote the festival's social networking initiative.

Representatives from titles including The Star, Snowboarder and Event took part in the extreme sport before watching Kilner perform 360 acrobatics over an inflatable cusion.

The event was used to promote Freeze Connect, a social networking hub from LG Electronics designed to bring festival goers together, uniting Twitter, Facebook and other websites.

Kiner is part of the British Snowboarding team and is set to take part in next year's Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

LG Freeze will see Battersea Power Station transformed into an international competition standard snowboarding and freeski venue complete with a 32m snow jump.

Changes for this year include a themed village, incorporating a ski and snowboard amnesty encouraging guests to utilise their old skis and boards as furniture across the site, and an extended music offering.
