Lady Gaga: using tech for a creative David Bowie tribute

Lady Gaga teamed up with Intel for a tech-heavy performance at the Grammys, using digital makeup and other innovations to transform herself into David Bowie.

Intel created a 'digital skin' for Lady Gaga, allowing her to adopt Bowie's different looks, chameleon-like, in real time.

The chip firm used its own processors to track her facial movements, then projected digital makeup onto her face as she performed.

Intel also attached robot arms onto Lady Gaga's piano, turning it into a dancing instrument during her performance.

Finally, Intel created a piece of connected jewellery for Lady Gaga which allowed her to project holograms and other special effects during her performance.
