Karren Brady, vice chairman of West Ham Football Club and one of Alan Sugar's advisors on BBC One show The Apprentice, will give the keynote speech at this year's International Confex.

Brady will speak at the annual industry event on 12-13 March at London's Olympia. She is small business ambassador to the UK government and was the youngest managing director of a top flight football club, for Birmingham City, at the age of 23.

Former deputy prime minister John Prescott delivered a keynote address at last year's International Confex.

Donna Bushell, event director at Confex, said: "We’re thrilled to have Karren speaking at International Confex this year, she is a truly inspirational business guru with a view across business and sport; all relevant to many of our visitors to the show this year.

"This will be a very popular session so we’re encouraging visitors to register quickly and ensure they don’t miss it."
