For one day only, online food delivery service Just Eat is offering one penny pizzas to anyone with the first name Mary.

Following celebrity baker Mary Berry's revelation yesterday (15 March) that she's never tried a takeaway pizza in her 81 years, Just Eat is offering those lucky people with the first name Mary the chance to grab a pizza for a penny.

The activation kicked off yesterday at 7pm, and will continue until 7pm tonight (16 March), and is being conducted in association with Just Eat's restaurant partner Mayfair Pizza Company.

The first 50 customers named Mary to order through the Mayfair Pizza Company page on the Just Eat platform, will be able to claim their penny pizza. Customers must provide photo ID to prove that their name is, in fact, Mary.

Last November, the brand hosted its 'The Future Now' virtual reality event, which aimed to reimagine and redefine food discovery. Also last year, Deliveroo teamed up with celebrity Scotty T and competitive eater Kate Ovens to launch a student club takeover tour.
