#SheRules video spoofs 50s-style educational films with show stars
The first work from four-month old agency Joan parodies 50s-style educational films for a social media extension to Netflix’s "She Rules" campaign, which made a much-heralded debut during the Emmys with a spot celebrating powerful women with clips of stars from its shows. On social media, Netflix’s fierce females help colorfully illustrate the "rules for the modern woman," providing the modern contrast to the narrator’s etiquette tips for cooking, entertaining, grooming and, of course, making sure your man "understands he’s still king." Among them, Claire Underwood talking to a man through an open bathroom stall for "mastering conversations" and Jessica Jones choking a man when "giving your man a gentle squeeze." A fitting creative debut for a purpose-focused agency named after the great Joans in history.
