The highest paid female athlete in the world joins tech brand's growing roster of sports-star endorsers.
First, there was Michael Phelps. Then Tom Brady and LeBron James. Now, Serena Williams is the latest superstar athlete to help Intel promote the power of its processor. A new campaign from mcgarrybowen suggests it's time to "Upgrade Your Game" with a 30-second spot showing the tennis pro struggling to compete with outdated equipment. "Trying to perform on an old computer is like Serena trying to play with an old racket," explains veteran pitchman Jim Parsons, replacing her tattered wooden racket with a sleek new Wilson. The spot will air on television nationwide starting April 30, along with corresponding social and digital buys.
