JetBlue and Coca-Cola stunt offers rewards for generosity

Hidden cameras track people willing to share a freebie with a stranger

Manhattan's Penn Station isn't typically the kind of place that puts a smile on your face. A campaign by Rokkan for JetBlue in partnership with Coca-Cola aimed to change that.

A vending machine in the busy train terminal was rigged to dispense two sodas when one is purchased. A screen advises the lucky recipient to share the beverag. Unbeknownst to them, cameras are watching.

Those who shared the Coke got an extra surprise: a round trip flight courtesy of JetBlue for both giver and receiver.

The gesture is similar to when Coca-Cola gave out free beverages and paid for people's luggage fees in Dubai. It's all about "happiness," y'all.
