Inside IBM's Bunker at Wimbledon

We go behind the scenes at IBM's data bunker at The Championships, to find out how its new innovations are changing the way we understand tennis.

There are four key areas of innovation that IBM have been working on this year at Wimbledon.

The first is the creation of a new real-time insight which seeks to highlight matches of particular interest and quality. IBM is also using AI to assist visitors to the tournament, by introducing Fred the Wimbledon assistant, available with the official apps. In addition to this, IBM Watson technology has combined 360 video and AR to bring the action on court to life.

In order to engage with the audience outside of the visitors to the event, IBM is hosting a social campaign with the hashtag #WhatMakesGreat, using data and cognitive capabilities at The Championships to find out what it takes to be a Wimbledon champion.
