Innocean vet Steve Jun takes the wheel of the Hyundai-owned agency as part of a string of senior hires

Innocean USA has named Steve Jun its new CEO, replacing Tony Kim who returns to Seoul headquarters after six years at the helm.

Jun joins the Huntington Beach, Calif.-based US office from Innocean Europe, where he served as CEO for almost two years. Jay Rhee replaces Jun, who was recently promoted to president and CEO of Innocean Europe, having previously headed-up its emerging market office.

Jun is one of Innocean Worldwide’s founding members, helping establish the global headquarters in Korea 10 years ago as vice president of global operations.

Innocean is owned by Hyundai and is the lead creative agency for the auto brand in the US. The agency’s other clients include NRG Energy and Footjoy. As well as its Huntington Beach location, Innocean USA has offices in Chicago, Hawaii and Dallas, employing more than 300 people.

Innocean had not confirmed Kim’s new role in Seoul at the time of publishing.
