MUMBAI — A gang of CGI chameleons dramatizes the appeal of the Volkswagen Jetta in a TV spot created by DDB Mudra.
When one of the green chameleons notices the new Jetta in the distance, it changes color to match the car. As the new Jetta whizzes by, the gray-and-black chameleon jumps on to the grill, camouflaged againstby its new colors. The sound track "I'd give up everything to be with you" complements the storyline and the sign off: "The new Jetta – Worth everything."
"In Volkswagen commercials, we always try to capture simple emotions that our cars evoke and then tell it in a charming and refreshing manner," said Rahul Mathew, creative head of DDB Mudra West. "For the new Jetta, the emotion was a no-brainer — desire. [We] used a chameleon to bring out the different shades of this desire, quite literally."
