On a mission to reduce the spread of Covid-19, humanitarian network IFRC (the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) has launched a Snap filter highlighting how often users touch their faces.
Inspired by the fact that the average person touches their face 23 times an hour (once every 2.6 minutes), the filter keeps track of where and how much users touch their face during video calls, using sassy phrases such as "damn I did it again" and "please stop me".
This comes alongside an instructional video calling out all "professional face touchers", "nose pickers" and "chin scratchers" alike, encouraging everyone "don’t be a FaceToucher".
