Aunt and niece share a kitchen moment in new "This Is Wholesome" spot
Twenty-five years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act became law. Mondelez brand Honey Maid and Droga5 have released a TV spot in honor of the occasion.
The ad features Stephanie Woodward, a disability rights lawyer, and her niece.Together, they make apple and cheddar melts with Honey Maid graham crackers.
Previous ads for the snack showed how a Hispanic family celebrated the Fourth of July and Brooklyn kids eating s'mores for the first time. Another installment made waves with its inclusion of two dads with their baby.
Speaking to Campaign on the inclusion of diversity in the ads, Kevin Brady, executive creative director at Droga5 said, "We try to put the images out there that reflect not only the world that we live in but also the world that we want to live in. That world is one of acceptance for all different types of people. I think if you show enough of that acceptance, then people see that as normal. That gets ingrained, and that can lead to acceptance in the real world."
