Honda vehicles trigger musical epiphanies in summer campaign spots

A capella groups cover pop songs in series from RPA

Car shoppers can’t help but hear music when they meet the Honda of their dreams in a series of television ads for Honda’s Summer Clearance now airing nationally. The 30-second spots by Santa Monica agency RPA feature a doo wop rendition of Beyoncé’s "Crazy in Love," Kelly Clarkson’s "My Life Would Suck Without You" as interpreted by a 60s-style girl group, the Go-Go’s "Head Over Heels" sung by a gospel choir and a floating boy band singing Berlin’s "Take My Breath Away," all performed a capella. The campaign also includes Spanish-language spots sung by the customers themselves.
