The #TweettoHeat shelter, which launched in Manchester’s Piccadilly station today (2 March), will offer commuters a place to keep warm while they wait for buses, trams and trains.
Users will be able to heat up the space instantaneously by tweeting the hashtag #TweetToHeat. The pop-up then uses Accurate Instant Response technology from Visual Voice to heat up.
The shelter is part of an ongoing Manchester takeover campaign created by CHI&Partners for Hive Active Heating, including digital out-of-home work in which the brand's characters react to the ever-changing weather. The agency has worked with Posterscope and Carat on the OOH activity, which will be live across 63 sites in the city for two weeks.
