Clinton used her Twitter account to tell her 3.31 million followers that she has embarked on a road trip, with a tweet that appropriately and somewhat predictably features a photo of the wannabe successor to Barack Obama with a family and baby from Iowa.
After months of avoiding trying to keep the world’s worst kept secret, Clinton came out yesterday (12 April) and confirmed her presidential bid.
She has also published a 140-second video on YouTube called ‘Getting Started’, which claims that "America needs a champion – and she wants to be that champion".
In an earlier tweet, Clinton came clean, telling followers that her Twitter account will be run by staff from now on, but stressing that her own tweets would be signed "H".

Clinton ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008 but lost out to Obama.
Behind her current attempt to beat Obama and other Democratic candidates is a campaign machine that is reported to include marketing heavyweights including Coca-Cola’s Wendy Clark.
