As part of the sponsorship, plans include a Heverlee Beer Garden inspired by street food vendors in Belgium – known as a beer capital city and the birthplace of the potato fry – serving up gourmet fries with traditional toppings, alongside Heverlee’s authentic Belgian lager.
The Heverlee Belgian Beer Garden will also host entertainment, with a street art battle between renowned Antwerp-based artist DZIA and Glasgow-based Rogue One, to create a mural which nods to both Scottish and Belgian culture. In addition, DZIA will live paint Belgium-inspired murals around the festival.
Heverlee and other beers from the C&C portfolio, including Tennent’s Lager and Magners Irish Cider, will be poured exclusively at bars throughout the site.
Rhona Fyfe, senior brand manager for Heverlee, said: "The Riverside Festival brings together a top cultural attraction, with music, art and a fantastic outdoor, urban experience, which fits perfectly with Heverlee’s continental roots. Our Belgian Beer Garden will offer a little taste of Belgium, and a place to sit back and enjoy the festival atmosphere with some good food and drink."
Taking place at the end of the month, from the 28-29 May and now in its fourth year, The Electric Frog & Pressure Riverside Festival is Scotland's largest electronic music event, hosted on the banks of the river Clyde in Glasgow on the grounds of the Riverside Museum.
Headliners Slam, Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier and Rødhåd will be joined by the likes of Ben Klock, Gaiser and local boys Animal Farm.
