With a Hendrix soundtrack, Ford introduces Europe to the Mustang

Blue Hive Europe Mustang created 'The Road Awaits' to usher in the pony car

Ford has secured the rights to Jimi Hendrix's "If 6 Was 9" for the pan-European Ford Mustang campaign.

The work, which announces the arrival of the Ford Mustang to buy in Europe for the first time, is by Blue Hive, the WPP group created to serve Hive. The campaign broke across Europe, with digital, press, outdoor and TV spots on Sept. 14. The TV ad shows a Ford Mustang driving on the open road as the Hendrix track plays in the background.
