A partnership between Sanrio Europe, Live Nation and Zen Tiger Live in association with WME Entertainment, Hello Kitty Live – Fashion and Friends is the first in a series of instalments which will feature Hello Kitty alongside characters including best friend My Melody, boyfriend Dear Daniel and younger sister Mimmy.

The stage show will include both live and 3D stage performances by Hello Kitty as she addresses themes including friendship, creativity, respect for nature and a love of learning.

Fans can also expect a soundtrack featuring the likes of Charlie XCX, Bruno Mars, Kylie Minogue, Echosmith, Clean Bandit and Flo Rida.

The world premiere of Hello Kitty Live – Fashion and Friends will take place at London venue Eventim Apollo, the site of this year’s Event Awards, on 8 October. Aylesbury's Waterside Theatre will host the show on 6 October.

As part of a UK-wide tour, the show will visit a number of locations throughout March and April next year, including Warrington, Bournemouth, Portsmouth, Nottingham, York and Glasgow.

A Hello Kitty-themed restaurant officially opened its doors in Hong Kong in June, meanwhile both Australia and the US are home to Hello Kitty cafes.
