Halfords: its new campaign is encouraging people to get fit in January

Halfords, the cars and bikes retailer, has launched a fitness campaign encouraging people to become more active in January.

The social media campaign through Facebook is called "#31FitterDays" is an exercise plan developed by Mo Jabbar, a personal trainer and nutritionist. Jabbar will also provide weekly videos to share top tips.

Participants can choose a beginner or intermediate level fitness plan. There are different exercises to perform each day including walking or jogging, and strength training such as squats, lunges and press-ups.

The campaign, which was created by the Halfords in-house social media team, will follow four people who are taking on the challenge, and their weekly video updates will be shared via Facebook.

Participants can also enter competition to win a fitness package worth £500.
