The event will take place on 20 and 21 May at 15 Bateman Street near London’s Piccadilly Circus. The Dessert Island [sic] will offer busy Brits the chance to enjoy some time alone on a choice of multi-sensory spaces.
Designed in collaboration with Mischief PR, the experience will utilise giant concave LED screens to display footage of desirable destinations, such as the Auckland Islands in New Zealand and the white sands off the Caribbean. Diners will be immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of their chosen island.
The activation has been designed to celebrate Gü’s new range of single glass ramekin puddings.
Coca-Cola brand Glacéau Smartwater also capitalised on the trend of solo dining in January, opening a two-day pop-up eatery in collaboration with Dutch restaurant Eenmal.
