The emotional true story highlights Google's accessibility features for the deaf and hard of hearing community.
Google is back again with another emotional spot. "A Coda Story," which premiered at the Oscars on Sunday, follows Tony, a Google employee and a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults). He explains how he’s always had "one foot in the deaf world, and one in the hearing world" growing up.
Due to the pandemic, Tony has been unable to see his parents for over a year. Staying in touch has been hard, but even more important after Tony welcomed his son, Owen. The spot shows how Tony and his family are able to communicate using live captioning in Google Meet — allowing Tony’s parents to meet their grandson.
