Google celebrates the 'First of Many' women who made history

In honor of Women's History Month, Google spotlights women who paved the way for the next generation.

The world searched for "the first woman" on Google more than ever before in the past year. The search giant celebrated Women’s History Month by using that insight in its latest 90-second spot, "First of Many," which highlights common searches for female pioneers in politics, science, sports and the arts, including Madame C.J. Walker, the first self-made millionaire, and Sha-Rock, the first female rapper who opened doors for rappers like Missy Elliott and Cardi B. "Here’s to the firsts that make way for the many," the tagline reads.
