Glue picks up Magners digital advertising account

LONDON - Magners, the C&C Group-owned cider brand, has appointed glue London to handle its digital advertising account.

The agency won the business following a pitch against four undisclosed shops, and will now be responsible for developing a digital strategy for the brand in the UK.

Glue will also handle web design and the development of social media campaigns.

The agency will work closely with Magners' TV advertising agency The Red Brick Road, which picked up the £13 million TV business in October last year.

Previously, Magners worked with a number of agencies for its digital advertising, including Cake and Young Euro RSCG.

The brand announced its intention to consolidate its digital business into a single agency last October. The pitch process was handled by Richard Barnes, the marketing manager for Magners.

Barnes said: "Glue demonstrated excellent strategic creative development which was grounded in reality, as well as a sound understanding of the brief."
