Mexican beer brand Corona is celebrating the return of the 2017 World Surf League, with a pop-up marking the first leg of the tour, the Quiksilver & Roxy Pro, hosted at Australia's Snapper Rocks.

Casa Corona, a Mexican-style beach bar on the sand at Snapper Rocks on the Gold Coast, aims to be the ultimate location to kick back, enjoy a few ice-cold Coronas and watch the world’s best surfers shred Australia’s most famous wave. It opened on 14 March and will run until the 25 March.

The pop-up is open to the public from 9 AM each day during the competition waiting period, serving refreshments, Mexican food and icy beers. For those who are more of a ‘participator’ than a ‘spectator,’ the brand has created the Casa Corona Board Hire at the entrace to the popip. It has teamed up with Neal Purchase Jnr, Dead Kooks, Morning of the Earth Surfboards, and Ben McTavish, to deliver twelve hand-shaped custom surfboards available for guests to surf with.

Last summer, Corona hosted a summer party at London's Dalston Roof Park to launch its SunSets series of festivals and events, with the sessions concluding with a beach party in Cornwall in September
