COVID-19 restrictions like social distancing and staying at home were vital in slowing the spread. But, not everyone was privileged enough to follow these protocols. Global Citizen’s "Wishful Thinking" spot, shot in a black-and-white documentary style, features vignettes of people who are unable to obey COVID-19 health guidelines. One woman is unable to socially distance herself from others because of close proximities in her workplace. In another clip, a homeless man is unable to maintain safe hygiene practices. The footage is interspersed with photography that captures the magnitude of these stories.
