Game resurrects social media hit Christmas Shopping Simulator ready for Black Friday

Game has created Christmas Shopping Simulator 2, a sequel to one of the biggest social media hits of Christmas 2014.

Game was an unlikely winner of Christmas in 2014, trumping festive heavy-hitters like John Lewis in YouTube views. The downloadable tongue in cheek game ‘Christmas Shopping Simulator’ went viral, with high profile YouTube stars like PewDiePie boosting its profile after posting videos about it.

This year the sequel ‘Christmas Shopping Simulator 2: Black Friday’ takes aim at the shopping phenomenon of the same name that involves huge discounts pre-Christmas, that's travelled from the US to the UK in recent years.

The game has been updated for this year with new features and new shops, such as Meat Buns Burger Bar and Britain’s Got Talons (the falconry shop for everybirdy), according to Game.

Fred Prego, insight and marketing director at Game, said, "We wanted to say thank you to our gaming community. Black Friday comes along but once a year. Now, gamers can enjoy it every day."

This year the game is available as a free download and will be promoted via a Twitch partnership, including a 30s trailer and pre-roll videos, as well as live gameplay streaming and social activity, including a teaser video on YouTube (above).
