Ford creates glow-in-the-dark garden for New York Fashion Week

Automotive brand Ford has partnered with Refinery29, a lifestyle website aimed at women, to create an interactive experience showcasing its new model.

The experience will take place during this month's New York Fashion Week and will be hosted at 29 Rooms, Refinery29's 'art and fashion funhouse', a warehouse located in Brooklyn in New York city spanning 80,000sqft. Inside, the 'Garden of Energi' will be an interactive experience that will spotlight attributes of the new Ford Fusion Energi model.

Guests will walk through a lush, glowing garden and experience the future crossroads of technology and nature. The room combines live plants, pulsating lights, sculpture and the sustainable materials that go into the Ford Fusion Energi—like soybeans, recycled plastic bottles and up-cycled apparel.

Running from 9-11 September, the garden will feature a pool developed in partnership with Perrier, an Ulta Beauty make-up playground and a sidewalk runway designed with Michael Kors, alongside other concepts featuring fashion brands, including a Fossil room with an interactive 3-D mural and the ultimate Papyrus party palace, complete with GIF booth.

LED lighting sculptures and creative foliage will serve to create an artistic, energetic paradise, reflecting the design story of Fusion Energi. 29Rooms featured a similar event last year, fusing art and fashion.

This year, Ford selected agency Imagination to officially unveil its Ford Vignale model at the Geneva Autoshow 2016
