FedEx spot reveals Santa's true gift delivery methods

"North Pole" from BBDO New York gives a family a surprising look into Santa's workshop

A family’s tour of Santa’s workshop ends with a bit of a surprise, when they find jolly ol’ Saint Nick watching a football game in his long johns in a Fedex office, while his sleigh gathers dust nearby.

The 30-second spot for the shipping service from BBDO New York, "North Pole," shows "How the Holidays Arrive," and there are no reindeer involved. Santa actually relies on FedEx to get the presents delivered, the spot reveals. When the family finds him in the back loafing around while FedEx workers prep boxes for shipping, Santa attempts to restore his myth with a fumbling "Ho Ho Ho" and points to the tarp-covered sleigh, unconvincingly explaining, "This is how I deliver all my presents, by myself."  The spot, also running as a 43-second extended version online, ends with the sad Santa struggling to hoist himself onto the sleigh as the family looks on, unimpressed.
