Burger King: offering free home delivery in three month trial

Burger King is rolling out a home delivery trial from eight locations as it looks to test the at-home takeaway market.

The three-month trial will run between 12-3pm and 6-10pm and is free, however Burger King will only deliver within a two mile radius and the minimum order cost is £14.

Northampton, Romford, Truro, Hornchurch, Gants Hill, Hull, Skegness and Hayes restaurants will be taking part. Customers can order on the phone or on a dedicated online ordering site.

Burger King said it is testing the service before a national roll out later this year.

All items will be available to order, as well a number of  combo deals aimed at upselling to hit the minimum delivery cost including two large meals, large fries and drinks, and nine chicken nuggets for £15 and three large meals, large fries and drinks and 20 chicken nuggets for £20.

"Burger King is firmly committed to delivering great-tasting food at affordable prices to all of our customers," said Matthew Bresnahan, marketing director for Northern Europe, Russia, & Africa.

"We are extremely excited about this Home Delivery service trial so customers can continue to enjoy the perfect combination of taste, at great value prices, now delivered straight to their homes."
