Fake Bake: latest product range goes on sale in New Look stores

Fake tanning brand Fake Bake is launching a high street range that will be sold exclusively in New Look stores.

The brand is teaming up with the high street fashion retailer in a bid to capture impulse sales from consumers seeking a blast of bronze, in advance of their summer holidays.

The new range is priced between £5 and £10, and includes four products; Rough To Buff Perfectly Smooth Body Polish, Dull to Delicious Soft 'N' Juicy Moisturiser, Bland to Tanned Sun Kissed Self-Tan, and Pasty to Tasty Wash Off Instant Tan.

The range – which is paraben-free – contains natural extracts that promise to provide a lasting colour with an exotic fragrance.

Industry analysts suggest the market for self-tanning products in Britain is worth an estimated £41m a year, and is set to grow further as consumers are increasingly educated on the dangers of tanning in the sun.

Last year, the International Agency for Research on Cancer reviewed the way it categorised sunbeds, to include them in the same high-risk category as cigarettes and asbestos.
