The company, which was sold to Burnbrae Events as part of an administration deal in December 2013, aims to create an Alpine, festival atmosphere with live bands, a resident DJ and projections of snow-covered mountains. Alongside the venue’s main event space, Ex Events will also utilise two terraces and breakout areas.
Bookings are being taken now for parties of between 300 and 700 guests. A bowl food menu, which will be supplied by one of Oval Space’s suppliers, and a sparkling wine reception are also on offer to event planners.
Ex Events told Event the partnership was one of the most exciting joint ventures the company has entered into in the last ten years.
Katy Baird, account director at Ex Events, said: "Our Christmas bookings were up by 35% in 2013 but we lacked a venue that could accommodate larger numbers.
"Oval Space is the perfect size and with its reputation for staging really cool events it fits seamlessly into our Christmas portfolio."
