Event looks at how Showforce excelled in the past year to win the Security, Staffing and Logistics category in this year's Event Awards.



Showforce prides itself on constantly pushing the benchmarks that define quality crew.

In addition to being awarded the contract to provide technical stage crew for the Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics opening and closing ceremonies, Showforce attracted more work in Europe than ever before last year, sending experienced and skilled crew to Cannes, Geneva, Berlin, Frankfurt, Lille, Brussels, Madrid and Milan.

Events supported included Cisco Live, Creamfields, Cannes Lions Facebook and Twitter, NFL, Strictly Come Dancing Live national tour, London Fashion Week, The X Factor national auditions and tour, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Britain's Got Talent national auditions, and 14 motor shows worldwide for Imagination, including Geneva, Frankfurt, Barcelona and Shanghai.

Global reputation

Annual turnover increased by 10%, staffing levels jumped by 40% and Showforce attracted 350 new clients in 2016.

With more than 25 years’ experience as a leading provider of temporary personnel to the event industry, the company has 40 full-time members of staff deployed in offices around the world working across sales, marketing, operations and finance, more than 25 crew chiefs and a database of over 350 crew in the UK.

Showforce provides a complete range of support services, including event crew, stage crew, production technicians and personnel, event staff, transport, specialist vehicle installation and global crew network.

All staff and crew are given industry-specific induction and manual handling training well above the industry standard. Showforce also maintains a skills matrix to record team members’ relevant qualifications and evidence of training received to ensure the highest quality of service for clients.

Highly Commended: Mash Staffing

A mixture of industry insight, high-profile clients such as Nike and Dyson, and a market-leading reporting app helped Mash Staffing reach its ambitious targets set for 2016. After a competitive pitch, the company won the long-term contract to supply Bentley with premium brand staff for its Bentley Studio London in Westfield London's exclusive Village.

It was also awarded its first corporate event-staffing work for Samsung, to support the press launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Mash, which grew its staff database from 3,000 to 3,500 in 2016, operates an extensive recruitment process to ensure quality, including compulsory face-to-face interviews.
