Last week’s posts that received the most engagement used humor to their advantage. Brands like GoPro, Disney, Chipotle and Ryanair raked in likes on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook by tickling funny bones.
Unmetric, a social-media intelligence firm, uses an analytics platform to track brands with the highest amount of engagement for posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Unmetric’s engagement score rates each post from 0 to 1,000, depending on the amount of user interactions.
Here are the posts that reached an engagement score of 900-1,000:
GoPro
This funny Instagram post of a dog enjoying his jet ski ride proves yet again the popularity of pets on Instagram. Of course, using hashtags #DogsofInstagram, #DailyPup and #Instadog helped GoPro gain likes. In three days, the post received 364,000 likes.
Disney
Disney also took an amusing approach on Instagram last week by placing a pooch in a picture. To promote the brand’s latest feature "Finding Dory," this post shows a dog asleep, its head resting on top of a stuffed Dory. The post (which reads, "Just keep snoozing") got 260,000 likes in five days.
Trojan
To show their pride, the condom brand posted a picture of their float in New York’s Pride Parade last week. The post generated 47,000 impressions, 1,091 shares and 397 comments.
