Food and drink brands found a receptive audience on social media last week, probably thanks to Cinco de Mayo. Budweiser, Babybel, and In & Out are a few of the brands to see high levels of engagement on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts, according to Unmetric.
Unmetric, a social media intelligence firm, uses an analytics platform to track brands with the highest amount of engagement for posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Unmetric’s engagement score rates each post from 0 to 1,000, depending on the number of user interactions.

The Anheuser-Busch-owned brand is already anticipating summer with this tweet for the beer’s new "America" campaign, announced on Tuesday. For this summer, Budweiser is removing its logo from all cans of beer and replacing it with "America." Even though the megabrewer is based in Belgium, the brand has done American-themed campaigns before with pictures of the Statue of Liberty and the American flag on its beers. This tweet includes a gif of a rotating can of beer with ‘America’ on it and text that reads, "Here's to America the beautiful. Hold her high this summer. ThisBudsForYou." The tweet received 1,088 likes and 1,112 retweets.
The beer brand posted a photo of a Guinness beer filled to the brim in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Accompanying the photo is humorous text that reads: "It's Seis de Mayo — you may now return to your regularly scheduled beer." The post garnered 1,233 likes on Instagram.

This tweet from the cheese brand garnered 377 likes and 50 retweets. In it, Babybel introduces a new limited-time wrapper for its snack-sized cheeseballs. The text of the tweet is clever: "As my all-new wrapper suggests, I’ve got your hunger covered. But, for a limited, time. The wrapper, not your hunger." The punctuation is off, however, as one commenter points out. The new wrapper is part of a larger campaign. The wrappers have nicknames for the mini-Babybels on them, such as "The Hunger Tamer" in this tweet, while some have blank spaces for the buyers to write their own. In a post that got 5,075 likes and 257 comments, fast-food chain In & Out posted a time-lapse video of the In & Out sign from sun up to sun down. The brand's famous theme song plays in the background.
In this post, Dippin’ Chips announces a giveaway of a case of Dippin’ Chips with a photo of the five flavors of chips. The post says that in order to enter, Instagrammers should tag their friends in a comment on the post. The post generated 54 likes and 67 comments on Instagram.
