LONDON - Elvis Communications has scooped the digital and sales promotion accounts for the alcoholic drinks brand WKD.

The agency won the business after a three-way pitch against undisclosed agencies. It will now create a number of digital and on-trade activation campaigns, which will aim to appeal to the brand's 18- to 24-year-old target market.

WKD works with a number of agencies on its advertising, including Big Communications and Nitro. Its relationship with its existing agencies is thought to be unaffected.

News of Elvis' win comes one month after WKD announced that it was to launch a cider variant, called WKD Core. The brand is expecting to launch the new product later this year through a high-profile poster, press, digital and TV campaign, as well as using sampling activity.

Big Communications creates the majority of WKD's TV advertising. Its most recent spot featured a man hatching a plan to get a seat in a busy pub by borrowing a chair from a quiet restaurant.
