Ellen DeGeneres Show alum stars in global ad campaign
Unilever has recruited B-Girl Terra, the eight-year-old breakdancer who shot to fame after a video of her performing in 2013 received three million online views in a week, for a global campaign
DLKW Lowe created the spot, promoting Unilever's Persil detergent brand. It shows Terra playing hopscotch and then break-dancing when a beat kicks in. The girl’s clothes get dirty during the performance, but a quick head-spin makes them pristine again. The ad ends with the line: "Powerful stain removal with every spin."
Terra, who is from Wolverhampton, U.K., won fame this side of the Atlantic, appearing on the Ellen show when she was just six years old.
The spot was created by Ben Evans and Adam Sears, and directed by Nadia Marquard Otsen through Academy.
