Ebay mixes old and new school style with Iris Apfel and Lil Yachty

The campaign, created by The Many, shows how style bridges generations.

Fashion is an ever-evolving medium, but it can connect people from all walks of life. 

Just ask fashion icon Iris Apfel and rapper Lil Yachty, who are both known for their eccentric sense of style. The pair differ in gender, race, profession and age — Apfel just turned 100 while Yachty is 24 — but their passion for fashion gives them an undeniable chemistry. 

Apfel and Yachty appeared in the first installment of "Old School Meets New School," an eBay content series developed by The Many, to discuss their love for watches.

"I love mixing high and low," Apfel says. "A very expensive watch with a bunch of tacky little bracelets. I was wondering if you wear more than one wristwatch at a time."

Yachty replies, "It's not my personal thing. That's a very trendy thing in rap," to which Apfel responds, "Is it trendy? I didn't know that. I always do that. But I don't care about trends."
