Dogs Trust's Christmas spot highlights the heartbreak of abandoned pets over the festive season.
Set to Sam Smith’s cover of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, the ad follows a dog fashioned out of cork as it steals a family's hearts on Christmas day, only to be chucked in the rubbish with the rest of the wrapping paper after the holiiday. Abandoned outside, the poor pup turns into a real dog before being rescued by Dogs Trust.
Launching on ITV tomorrow (9 November), the campaign will run across TV, cinema, social and digital ads on the high street, with 40-, 20- and 10-second cuts appearing alongside the full version.
The work was created by Anna Arnell and directed by Vaughan Arnell through Moxie Pictures.
