Comparethemarket's meerkat needs help solving riddles for his first Facebook Live's meerkat mascot Aleksandr is hosting his first Facebook Live to help the brand promote its Murder on the Orient Express tie-up.

The price comparison website is offering customers the chance to win three pairs of tickets to the film’s premiere at London’s Royal Albert Hall tonight.

To launch the competition, Aleksandr will appear in his first Facebook Live event inviting viewers to help him solve crime riddles. Sergei, his meerkat sidekick, will be behind the camera.

The format is a first for the brand and Facebook Live.

Aleksandr will release the riddles between 12pm and 12:45pm and ask the audience to crack the code. The furry mascot will only answer "yes" or "no" in response to questions about the puzzles. Once solved, players can comment on the post with the hashtag #MeerkatMovies for a chance to win the tickets.

The event was created by Nick Kugge and Dennis Engel at VCCP.
