Columbia Sportwear job interview requires an impromptu mountain climb

Portland's North creates a short film following applicants for the outdoor gear company's Director of Toughness

Columbia Sportswear is looking to hire a Director of Toughness to test their foul-weather gear in harsh conditions around the world. But unsuspecting applicants find their endurance tested even before the interview is over, in a two-and-a-half minute short film from Portland, Oregon agency North. The winning candidates haven’t yet been selected, but they will replace current Directors of Toughness Lauren Steele and Zach Doleac, the first people to hold the position. The spot is directed by Josh Ruben and Vincent Peone, a duo known for the viral videos for CollegeHumor and scripted series like Comedy Central’s "Broad City."
