Austin agency Preacher shepherds the fashion e-tailer's first traditional ad campaign
Online clothing retailer Bonobos gets its first paid spokesperson, Chicago Bulls shooting guard and small forward Jimmy Butler, in a playfully philosophical spot from Preacher. This is the brand’s first traditional ad; previously, it’s relied on word of mouth, digital placements, online discount coupons and buy-one-get-one deals, as well as its quixotic chain of "guideshop" retail stores that only allow fittings, not in-store purchases. The ad debuts Sept. 12 online and on broadcast in the Houston, Atlanta and Chicago markets. It will also be supported by national print placements and OOH content in the Chicago subway system.
