Channel 4 and Samsung Home Appliances launch supper club AFP

Channel 4 has partnered with Samsung Home Appliances to launch a new short form series called My Pop-up Restaurant.

The deal is part of the company’s one-year seven figure investment with the broadcaster.

The six part series will be presented by Radio 1 DJ, Alice Levine, and TV presenter Laura Jackson, who are billed as supper club aficionados. It has been produced by Atomized Entertainment, which launches on 2 November on All 4.

The show follows aspirational home cooks across the UK who open their own supper clubs.

Rob Ramsey, the partnerships leader at Channel 4, said: "We’re really proud of this series. Entertainment is key to All 4’s Shorts programming and we’re confident this series will engage across multiple platforms reinforcing Samsung Home Appliances’ reputation for quality and performance."

The partnership was brokered by Channel 4 and LiquidThread, Starcom Mediavest Group’s content division.

Andrea Brown, the managing director at LiquidThread, said: "This is yet another example of LiquidThread working with brands and Channel 4 to forge new forms of branded content that we know people will welcome into their world.

"This is about finding the perfect blend of the right talent, the right platform and the right audience for Samsung Home Appliances."
