Cadbury Dairy Milk to become Fairtrade

LONDON - Cadbury has announced that it plans to achieve Fairtrade certification for Cadbury Dairy Milk by the end of this summer.

The initiative, will also include Cadbury's hot chocolate beverage and marks the first anniversary of the Cadbury Cocoa Partnership, which will see £45m invested over the next ten years in cocoa farming in the developing world.

The company claims that the move will result in the tripling of sales of cocoa under Fairtrade terms for cocoa farmers in Ghana and will open up new opportunities for thousands of more farmers to benefit from the scheme.
