Busch introduces new spokesman and can branding in Super Bowl debut

Deutsch New York adds callbacks to classic ads for longtime fans.

Anheuser-Busch’s budget brand, Busch, makes its Super Bowl debut with a 30-second spot from Deutsch New York. The agency won the business last summer. The spot, which will air in the 1st quarter, features throwbacks to Busch ads of the past, with shots like the "stream pull" and the pop tab hush sound. Viewers get a look at the new Busch guy, a flannel-clad, bestubbled man who seems at ease in the woods. The can he holds bears the new branding, which will appear in stores this April. Anheuser-Busch is going all out this year, with spots for three other brands as well—Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob Ultra.
