Brands are using Pokémon Go to lure consumers into their stores. The game encourages players to walk around their neighborhoods looking for virtual Pokémon characters on their smartphones.

Pokémon Go is less than a week old but already experiencing the same levels of daily interaction as Twitter, so brands are finding their own way of getting in on the craze on social.

Some companies, such as Strand Book Store, are even lucky enough to be featured in the game as "Poke Stops" — a k a locations where players can collect supplies or let their characters do battle.
