Super Bowl ad posits driving an electric car in 2015 is like riding the Information Superhighway in 1994

Not too long ago, a clip from a 1994 episode of "The Today Show" with morning anchors Bryant Gumbel and Katie Couric went viral as the pair was flummoxed by the Internet.

This first quarter Super Bowl spot from KBS+ captures that same sense of curiosity in a spot for BMW's new i3 vehicle. The i3 is BMW's new electric car model.

Speaking to Automotive News, a BMW representative said "In 1994, people had not yet grasped what the Internet was, which is similar to how electric mobility is viewed today."
