MRY's Cedric Devitt defects to Brooklyn-based digital shop

NEW YORK — Big Spaceship has hired MRY’s Cedric Devitt as its first chief creative officer, effective March 9.

In his new role, Devitt will lead creative across the DUMBO-based agency’s three core practices: marcomms, product and social. He will report to CEO Michael Lebowitz.

Devitt became CCO of MRY following its acquisition by LBi in 2013, where he has spent three years in creative leadership roles. He also worked at Tribal Worldwide and Grey.

Big Spaceship has a staff of 90 people in Brooklyn. Last year, it expanded to Seoul, South Korea, and added Samsung Mobile, Nestle Purina, Google Play and Organic Valley to its roster of clients.
