An art and culture exhibition showcasing Beijing's colourful history has opened in Olympia's new West Hall.

Colours of Beijing opened on Tuesday (24 July) and will run through to next Tuesday (31 July).

The exhibition brings to life the host city of the 2008 Olympic Games with historical displays, traditional costumes and Chinese dragons. Some of Beijing’s leading artists will use the occasion to present their latest work.

The event is being staged in Olympia’s new West Hall which underwent a redevelopment programme last year to add an additional floor and create links from Olympia Two and the Grand Hall.

The exhibition is free to attend and is open from 9am-5pm each day.
