Beefeater: continuing its London Tonic series of cultural events

Chivas Brothers brand Beefeater Gin is aiming to banish the blues in January with a free stand-up comedy gig hosted by producer Just the Tonic.

The event, called the Beefeater Blues, is part of the brand's ongoing London Tonic Series, which is showcasing cultural events. Previous events in the series have included a poetry-themed speakeasy and a fun take on drink trends

Beefeater Blues will see sessions from the UK’s best breakthrough acts served up alongside gin cocktails made by Beefeater’s expert mixologists.

Known for discovering the next big names in comedy, Just the Tonic took Sarah Millican, Jason Manford and Jon Richardson to the Edinburgh Fringe before they were famous, and has worked with superstar comedians Johnny Vegas, Lee Nelson, Reginald D Hunter, Ross Noble and Seann Walsh in the last few months alone.

The event is taking place on 28 January at Beefeater's distillery in south London.

Earlier this year, the brand hosted a cocktail comp final in London's Soho, with a number of cocktail-making challenges. The brand has also taken part in the Gin Bop event
