Arnold Schwarzenegger, Salma Hayek play retired Greek gods in BMW's Super Bowl ad

Zeus and Hera relocate from Mount Olympus to Palm Springs, Calif.

Fitting in can be hard for anyone — even if you’re a Greek god.

In BMW’s Super Bowl spot, "Zeus & Hera," Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Zeus, king of the Greek gods, and Salma Hayek portrays Hera, goddess of women, marriage, family and childbirth. The 60-second ad, created by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, features BMW’s new iX electric vehicle.

The spot opens with Zeus and Hera announcing their retirement. The couple relocates from mythical Mount Olympus to Palm Springs, Calif. with a tiny Pegasus in tow.

Hera adapts quickly to their new life, but Zeus isn’t as fast to adopt a different lifestyle. He struggles to use a microwave and deals with people asking him to use his power to charge their devices.

Zeus even causes a power outage while trying to fix the lights in his home. Hera gifts him with BMW’s iX electric vehicle, which turns out to be the boost Zeus needs.

The spot closes out with the couple driving in downtown Palm Springs, singing the 1980s hit "Electric Avenue" by Eddy Grant.
